The stunning surroundings of Glen Creran, in Argyll, was where Irene and Ken Livingston had always dreamed of building themselves a traditional two-dormer cottage, creating their perfect family home.

And their dream came true after friends who'd used Robertson Timberkit to build their homes, told them to stop dreaming and start planning.

Father-of-two Chris Owen was no stranger to timberframe housing, having used it successfully for a previous building project. So when he decided to build a three-storey, four-bedroom villa with fantastic bay views towards Findhorn, on the Moray Firth, his first port of call was Robertson Timberkit.

Elgin-based Anne Robertson, a retired head teacher, chose Robertson Timberkit to provide her with the type of luxury open-plan living she wanted in her fabulous new three-bedroom home.

Chris Ireland's dream was to build his own home in picturesque Oban, on the west coast of Scotland. The steel fabricator turned to Robertson Timberkit to help him provide his wife and son with the perfect property.

Mr Ireland said it was the high standard of specification offered by Robertson Timberkit that sealed the self-build deal for him.
