ISO 14001
This internationally recognised endorsement is viewed as a cornerstone standard for organisations actively looking to minimise their environmental impact. The ISO 14001 standard applies specifically to the environmental aspects that an organisation has control over and can therefore influence.
Robertson Timber Engineering believes that securing ISO 14001 demonstrates our continuing pledge to environmental impact reduction and the championing of sustainability within the UK construction sector.

Q-Mark Plus incorporates ISO 9000:2000 certification. It is a complete and unrivalled quality assurance scheme for the timberkit industry.

TRADA
Robertson Timber Engineering are a member of The Timber Research and Development Association, an internationally recognised centre of excellence on the specification and use of timber and wood products. Their aim is to provide members with the highest quality information to enable them to maximise the benefits that timber can provide.
PEFC Chain of Custody
Forest conservation is a major environmental concern and, to Robertson Timber Engineering, as manufacturers of timber framed structures, management of woodland is critical to the future of our operations as well as our customers.
As manufacturers of timber framed structures forest conservation is high on the agenda of Robertson.
Our ongoing commitment to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment has been demonstrated by achieving certification to the internationally recognised PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) Chain of Custody scheme. This means that we source our materials from well managed and sustainable forests and do not use materials originating from controversial or illegally harvested sources or where traditional or civil rights are violated.
Certification to the PEFC Chain of Custody scheme means that Robertson meet the UK Government's timber procurement policy, which demands that all timber and wood-derived products used for government projects, must be from independently verifiable legal and sustainable sources.
Customers and interested parties can be assured that timber products supplied by Robertson Timber Engineering have been obtained responsibly and with minimum impact to the environment.
